Our Story

My journey has been a long and winding one, full of stops and starts, redirects and relocations, promotions and layoffs, joys and sorrows.  The details are not so important. We all have lives shaped by highs and lows. But through it all, there has been one constant in my life: my quiet time.

When I was a young professional living in New York City, life was both magical and incredibly demanding. To find calm amid the hustle, I set aside a few quiet minutes each day to breathe, journal, and reconnect with who I was, what I wanted, what brought me joy, and what I was grateful for.

In the years since, that simple ritual has remained steady through every season of my life. No matter what is happening around me, especially on the hard days (and we all have them), those few minutes of stillness help me return to myself and to what matters most to me. Even when I only have five minutes, committing to this consistent practice, phone tucked away, computer out of sight, has become the single best thing I do for my well-being.

A few years ago, a dear friend was going through a difficult time. and I wanted to offer something that felt supportive, so I put together a beautiful box filled with the things I use during my own quiet-time ritual. She called to thank me and said, “I love my Kellie Box! You should start a business making these.”

Over the years, I have started and stopped with launching this business a few times, but the idea never left me. And one recent late summer morning, during my quiet time, sitting on my deck with my journal and a cup of coffee, I knew it was time.

I’m proud to share the launch of Kellie Box Company and our first edition product, The Quiet Time Box. It’s filled with the lovely things I use in my morning ritual—simple, grounding items that help me begin my day with intention and calm. Keep your box on a shelf, your bedside table, or wherever you unwind, as a reminder to care for yourself each morning, each evening, or whenever you can find a few minutes to just be.
